MCELROY METAL ROOFING PRODUCTS

McElroy Metal Roofing Products for Your Home

As an industry leading manufacturer of metal roofing, metal siding and substructural components, McElroy’s products are perfect for homes in Central Texas.
Installing a metal roof on your home is a wise investment. A metal roof not only provides a long service life, but also adds curb appeal and benefits like durability, weather-resistance and reduced utility expense. We know that selecting quality metal roofing products for your home is an important part of the process, and that’s why we use McElroy Metal roofing products.
McElroy Metal is one of the nation’s leading manufacturers of residential roofing systems. With over 60 years of experience, they are committed to delivering superior quality and outstanding service backed up by a values-oriented, customer-focused philosophy you can trust.
Why Choose Metal Roofing For Your Home?

Metal roofing offers homeowners unparalleled protection and value. Asphalt shingles have long dominated the residential roofing market. However, the cycle of asphalt shingle replacement every 15 years (or after one of Texas’ infamous hailstorms), is simply wearing many homeowners out. In contrast, metal roofing out-performs shingles and offers many other benefits which is the reason more and more homeowners are ditching conventional shingles and installing metal roofing. Unlike traditional roofing materials, metal roofs provide:
- Up to 70% energy savings
- 50+ year lifespan
- Superior weather resistance
- Minimal maintenance requirements
McElroy Metal Roofing Product Lineup
McElroy Metal offers three different classes of metal roofing; Exposed Fastener Panels, Standing Seam Systems, and Metal Shingles and tiles. There are multiple product lines in each class. Here’s a breakdown of each one, showing the benefits of each.
Exposed Fastener Panel Metal Roofing
Exposed fastener panel metal is the most economical form of metal roofing, consisting of overlapping panels that are fastened directly to the roof deck or framing through the face of the metal. They are called “exposed” because the fastener heads are visible once installed. However, fastener heads are painted the same color as the roofing panels to help make them less apparent. Most exposed fastener panels are typically 36” wide, meaning that fewer panels (and less labor) will be needed to cover the roof area. McElroy offers a variety of exposed panel products.
Max-Rib Panel
Max-Rib is a low profile (3/4″) panel that is very popular with homeowners in Texas due to its aesthetic appeal and price point. Varying applications, end uses, and expectations require different metal panel alternatives. Fortunately, McElroy’s popular Max-Rib profile is available in five distinct options: Max-Rib Ultra, Max-Rib II, Max-Rib 100, and Max-Rib Commodity/Liner. The best choice for your individual project depends on factors such as performance, desired longevity, and budget.
Mesa Panel
Many post frame and residential panels look identical from manufacturer to manufacturer. McElroy Metals’ Mesa Panel is a patent and copyright protected panel that can’t be copied and features a nearly invisible lap offering a distinctive look.
Mesa’s standard paint system is Kynar 500® (PVDF), the industry’s best coating for long-term protection against panel chalk and fade.
5V Metal Roofing Panel
Homeowners in Texas are discovering that 5V metal roofing not only adds value to their home but looks great too! McElroy’s 5V panels are 24 inches wide and incorporate a classic design that adds beauty to any home. 5V is also commonly installed as an interior liner or accent panel.
McElroy’s 5V panel is available with fade and chalk resistant Kynar 500/PVDF coatings, which provides assurance that a roof retains its like-new beauty year-after-year.
Multi-Cor and M-Cor Panel
With a look of high-strength performance, McElroy’s corrugated metal panels are reminiscent of yesteryear and simpler times. Consistent, rounded corrugations make Multi-Cor and M-Cor ideal panels to achieve nostalgic appeal whether installed as a wall, roof or interior accent panel.
For added aesthetic appeal, horizontal installations showcase corrugated design capabilities. Multi-Cor and M-Cor are similar in design, with M-Cor offering a more subtle rib height and configuration.
Multi-Rib Panel
Multi-Rib is McElroy’s proprietary version of the metal roofing industry standard R-Panel and is a multi-use roof and wall rib panel primarily used in pre-engineered metal building applications. An optional purlin bearing leg (PBR) rests on purlins and provides support for fastening the panel lap.
Multi-Rib is also commonly utilized for residential roofing, primarily in the Southwestern region. Featuring 1 1/4-inch major ribs, 12 inches on center, Multi-Rib’s bold profile adds a distinct beauty to any home.
R-Panel
R-Panel is a multi-use wall and roof panel that is a popular choice for residential metal roofing, especially in the Southwest. An optional purlin bearing leg (PBR) rests on purlins and provides support for fastening the panel lap. Fade and Chalk resistant Kynar 500 (PVDF) coatings are a McElroy Metal standard for R-Panel and provide building owners with a long-term, high performing panel that retains its original color and beauty year after year.
U-Panel
U-Panel is an exposed fastened wall and roof panel. With a ¾” (approximate) rib height and 6” on center rib spacing, U-panel offers a lower profile and softer appearance than R-Panel or Multi-Rib. U-Panel is widely utilized as a liner panel or partition wall.
Standing Seam Metal Roofing Systems
A standing seam roof system, also called concealed fastener panels, utilizes a series of adjoining panels that are connected by raised seams (or vertical legs). Seam heights vary, but are typically 1 to 2 ½ inches tall and allow the panels to snap together without using any exposed fasteners. In addition to providing a sleek, modern look, standing seam roofs allow panels to expand and contract with changing temperatures, helping them to last longer and cause less wear and tear on the roof deck. For residential applications, most standing seam panels snap together while others require mechanical seaming. Mechanical seamed panels provide greater strength and wind uplift capabilities. McElroy Metal offers a variety of different standing seam metal roofing products.
Meridian Snap Together Metal Roofing
McElroy’s Meridian roofing product has it all! An aesthetically pleasing, snap-together, standing seam roof panel that is economical and easy to install. With no need for clips, Meridian panels are easily attached to the roof deck with pancake head fasteners. Well-suited for residential applications, Meridian is always an excellent choice for any Central Texas home!
Medallion-Lok Snap Lock Panels
Medallion-Lok snap lock panels effectively capture the beauty and elegance of standing seam metal roofing. It adds curb appeal to any home with narrow 1.75-inch tall standing seams that create crisp, clean visual lines. This product features hidden clips and a snap-together seam which eliminates the need for jobsite seaming. While primarily a commercial panel, Medallion-Lok can also be an excellent choice for larger, custom homes.
Medallion I and Medallion II Batten Seam Panels
Medallion I and Medallion II are architectural standing seam systems which utilize separate batten caps that are installed over adjoining roofing panels. Medallion I features a narrow batten cap while Medallion II features a wider cap. Both Medallion systems are installed over solid decking. Medallion I can also be curved to meet radius panel specifications.
Instaloc Snap-Together Standing Seam System
Instaloc is a snap-together standing seam system that features a 1” seam and is installed with concealed clips. Instaloc is designed to be used with solid decking and the low-profile seam makes the panel an excellent option for light residential applications.
Maxima Standing Seam Panel
With three distinct Maxima profiles to choose from: Maxima, Maxima 1.5 and Maxima ADV, McElroy’s Maxima family of products represents the industry’s broadest selection of vertical leg standing seam systems. To meet the varying needs of architects and contractors, each offers unique performance characteristics that enable users to match a Maxima panel to specific aesthetic and performance specifications.
In some cases, Maxima panels can be produced on-site by McElroy factory technicians and Maxima 1.5″ and 2″ panels can also be curved for use with radius roof situations.
Symmetrical Standing Seam Systems
138T and 238T panels feature technological advances in roofing that set a new standard for standing seam performance. 138T and 238T systems are classified as symmetrical standing seam systems that feature mechanically seamed caps. This product family offers many advantages including patented recover solutions featuring the industry’s best method to recover existing metal or shingle roofs. The most important advantage of the 238T and 138T systems are that they are easy to repair or alter after installation. Unlike asymmetrical standing seam systems, individual 138T and 238T panels can be removed and replaced. With Galvalume® roof life expectancy approaching 60 years, this ability to replace individual panels is very important.
Metal Shingles and Tiles
Combining the aesthetic look and curb appeal of traditional shingles, clay tile, cedar shake, and slate with all the performance benefits of metal roofing, metal shingles or tiles are a popular option for homeowners looking for a fast, easy, and affordable roofing solution that simulates the appearance of other roofing materials. The benefit to the homeowner is the desired visual appearance plus all the benefits of metal roofing. McElroy Metal offers a variety of metal shingles and tiles.
Met-Tile Metal Tile Panels
McElroy Metal’s Met-Tile roofing panels give the appearance of ceramic tile roofing with all the advantages and performance of metal roofing. Met-Tile is lightweight, energy efficient and aesthetically attractive. A Met-Tile roof looks so much like tile, most people are surprised to learn that they are actually metal roof tiles.
Milan Steel Shingles
Milan steel shingles add beauty and curb appeal to any home! Milan provides the aesthetic appearance of shingles, slate or shake with all the benefits of metal. Offering eight attractive Kynar 500® (PVDF) colors as well as Slate and Shake Kynar 500 Prints, McElroy Metal’s Milan Steel Shingles will complement any exterior design palette.
Tilcor CF Shingle Stone Coated Roofing
Tilcor’s™ CF Shingle has been specifically designed to resemble the look of traditional asphalt shingles without the inherent issues that many home owners face, like frequent replacement due to weathering or hail damage. Its innovative Concealed Fastening system is truly an industry first. Other fastening systems leave gaps and screws exposed to the elements but Tilcor’s unique CF Shingle protects all the fastening elements, making roofs more reliable, watertight and durable than ever before.
Extensive research and development have made Tilcor’s CF Shingle not only the most water-proof stone-coated steel shingle on the market but also the most realistic looking and fastest to install. Made from the highest quality raw materials, its durability and strength are second to none. The CF Shingle and accompanying accessories are engineered to interlock and overlap to resist wind lifting and keep out nature’s elements.
